The Hamilton’s U20 B team played away against False Bay B team on Freedom Day.
Hamilton’s started the game with a lot of urgency and dominance which resulted in them crossing the try line twice in the space of 10 minutes. Scrumhalf Litha Notshe and Flyhalf Marius Viviers are a match made in heaven as they both linked up beautifully and between them they managed to score three tries.
The u20 B’s dominated at scrum time and managed to get numerous tight heads and when it came to line out time, debutant Sebastian Sanchez managed to steal False Bay’s ball countless times. The backline were precise and perfect in their execution of their set moves. The U20 B’s started to send the ball out to the wings which saw Zano Pupuma cross over the line in the corner after showing some real gas. Half time score was 32 – 0.
The second half was tightly contested and only managed to see one try by Hamilton’s robust centre Robert Payne and a penalty kick by False Bay. It seemed as the U20 B’s had run out of power in the second half as their performance wasn’t as close to the one in the first half. Notable performances were by burly prop Davie Daffue and Lock Wilfred Willoughby. Full time score was 37 – 3.
