For the first time in our club’s 148 year history, we started our first ever girls practice session on Sunday 5 February down at the club. We have chosen to focus on the high school girls age group to get started and then build up from there.
On Sunday a group of excited and enthusiastic teenage girls arrived, rearing to go and get rid of their energy.
Charmaine Kayser, who played 7’s and 15 rugby for Western Province and South Africa heads up the coaching team. Axolile Apleni, a first team player at Hamilton and Head Coach Robert Oliver are there in supporting roles.
All high school girls are invited to join in the fun. Join us on Sundays at Hamilton Rugby Club, Stephen Way, Green Point from 10.00 to 12.00.
