FUNNIEST HAMMIES MOMENT: Training is always a laugh. From Rudy Paige’s banter to Davon Raubenheimer always complaining about something, it’s hard not to enjoy Tuesdays and Thursdays.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT HAMMIES? I admire how much the club values tradition and more importantly how welcoming the club is towards all players regardless of what team you are in.
FAVOURITE HAMMIES LEGEND/PERSONALITY AND WHY: Dave Kagan. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him without his Club tie and blazer whether it’s Tuesday, Thursday or match days. The man bleeds Hamiltons. I have to mention uncle Derrick as well, he’s definitely the glue that keeps everything together.
WHAT MOVIE CHARACTER DESCRIBES YOU BEST, AND WHY? Cuba Gooding Jr in Men of Honour. I’ve never been the best at anything, I’ve experienced many failures and I’ve heard many times that I’m not good enough, but I persevere, work hard and somehow always manage to achieve something I am proud of.
SOMETHING YOU DON’T KNOW ABOUT ME: My age. I’m actually very old.
WHO’S GOT THE BEST DANCE MOVES IN THE TEAM? Because he’s the only guy I’ve seen busting a move at training, I have to say Jacky Moses.
WHO IS THE BEST SINGER IN THE TEAM? Petrus “Potjie” Nienaber. You can hear him hitting the high notes above everyone while we doing the Hammies Call.
LIKES: Good food, weekend getaways with my family and any workout or fitness activity.
