Tour to France in September 2023

We are super excited and proud to have been invited to the first World Amateur Rugby Festival taking place in France in September 2023.

The World Amateur Club Rugby Festival will bring together 20 amateur clubs from the 20 of the world’s greatest rugby nations. For the first time in the history of the World Cup, amateur rugby will have an official place and lighting.

The first world amateur rugby tournament will take place in 7 host cities of the Southern Region from 22 September to 1 October 2023.

This tournament is a way to bring together all 600 players from the 20 participating countries to celebrate amateur club rugby. The level will be homogeneous and the competition very contested, but all in a spirit of brotherhood.

Hamilton, the only club representing South Africa, will be playing in Pool B, against Ireland, Tonga, Romania and Scotland.

We will be taking a group of 35, including players and management to France. Special arrangements have been made to accommodate supporters too.

All the games will be broadcast either on television or via a livestream.

We look forward to flying the South African flag high and building great relationships with our international club brothers.

There are still sponsorship opportunities available. For more information, please contact our chairman at mike@mjrconsult.co.za
