Uwe Geissler performs as the U20’s hold off Brackenfell

It was hot and field was a dust bowl which made it conditions look like an John Wayne movie-with both teams looking to impose their physicality on each other.

Brackenfell had a strong scrum and tested the Hammies boys early on in the game- with both teams in an arm wrestle, it was the hosts who drew first blood with a penalty for an offside infringement.

Hammies responded by keeping the ball through multiple phases and turning down a few kick able penalties.
Tries by Friedl and Milan, with a try each and Matt D converting just the one.

In the 2nd half the boys responded to the half time chat and scored tries through Matt Friedl Uwe and Raymond.

Uwe Geissler was man of the match for his defence, along with the Hit of the Day, and good decision making with ball in hand.
